The 5th annual Jazzin’ for Funds will be held on Monday, Oct 29, 2018, 6 – 8:30 p.m., at Delta’s Restaurant in New Brunswick. The Town Clock Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit that addresses the severe need for permanent, affordable housing for domestic violence victims. First Reformed Church in New Brunswick underwent an extensive renovation to convert the historic four story building to include Town Clock CDC’s main project, Dina’s Dwellings, ten apartment units of affordable, permanent housing to ensure that women and children can safely leave abusive situations for good.
Jazzin’ for Funds is the annual fundraiser to support programming at Dina’s Dwellings. Programs for residents include case management, monthly community dinners, art therapy, yoga, seasonal activities, a food pantry and Sally’s Closet, a clothing and toiletries resource for women and children.
Town Clock CDC Executive Director Susan Kramer- Mills said, “Jazzin’ for Funds is our main fundraiser, which helps us help our residents. It creates the funding base for the extensive support and unique programming that we offer. And, it is a fundraiser that has the feel of a party. Bring friends and just have a great evening listening to jazz.”
